Hey all,

I thought you would all like to know just what the heck is going on.  Well, for starters…

This past week  your coordinators have gone through some training classes. Stuff like learning how to host events, how much money to allocate, yadda yadda yadda. It’s all a bunch of useful info for us, but not so much for you guys.

Today was interesting too, if you didn’t already know, it was Student Activities open house.  There was popcorn, drinks, hot dogs. Stuff like that, and there were also all of us.  We opened our doors so you could see our office, meet us and other people like us.

The Cool Community Gardens Guys were in there all day.  Not to mention the guys from DEAP were there also.  Remember, you can visit us anytime.  We will have our hours posted on the door soon and then the website, so just be on the lookout.

We thought you also might like to know about your plots.  Well, so would we.  That is why we are working this weekend to get it ready for you guys.  A crew of us is going to hash it out and figure out all the details.  We want you to have your dirt, and you will have it!

Meanwhile, have a look at some pretty picture shot by Memo and Conor…

ps. We are going to update our logo soon, it’s cool to say the least.

Hey everyone!  Nice to see you come by the tables today.  After listening to all your comments about how excited you are to start a plot and get more involved with the Community Gardens, we wanted to get back to you all right away.

So,  it may take a couple of days to get back to all of you, but rest assured, we will.  We hope to have plot information sorted out by the end of the first week of class.  We are all a little bit hectic, but hey, who isn’t here, right?  We know some of you have little garden experience and would like to know more.  That’s what we’re here for, we will gladly answer any questions you have and if we don’t know, we’ll find out for you.

If you want to meet with us, or find some time to work in the gardens, we are still finding out our schedules as I am sure many of you still are.  So, once we know, You Know.

Community GardensThe biggest thing on the plate right now for Community Gardens is Harvest Fest.  IT is the big event this year with so much to offer for the Novice or the Pro.  With many workshops including Beer and Wine Making, Cheese Making, Kombucha culturing and many, many other learning experiences.  Not to mention the Great music we have lined up for the event too.   If you can, bring some cash to buy some of the Beautiful Produce available.  A portion of the proceeds benefit our clubs and our wonderful farmers!

So everyone, prepare to get your hands dirty, this Year is going to be Great!
